Abstract: There is no other way to say it, write back in Oracle Business Intelligence is awful. Oracle Application Express integration is one way to address the need for data capture but it has its own limitations. Node.js has the largest ecosystem of open source libraries in the world and makes adding interactive forms for data capture and retrieval really easy inside of OBI. Come to this session to learn how the presenters have used Node.js to extend customer OBI environments to enable interactive data capture and custom visualizations alongside delivered content.

Objective 1: Show attendees that they can extend their OBIEE environments with freely available open source tools such as Node.js.

Objective 2: Give attendees the prerequisite knowledge of how they can extend their OBIEE environments with Node,js.

Objective 3: Show attendees real world examples of solutions implemented inside of customer OBIEE environments.

Objective 4: Show attendees an alternative way to implement write back capabilities and data capture inside of OBIEE.

Objective 5: Encourage the use of and contribution to open source projects.
