Abstract: The Haskell Company is a global organization providing integrated design, engineering, construction and professional services to clients and communities. JD Edwards has been in use at Haskell for 20 years. While the underlying JDE system continued to meet their ERP needs, their legacy reporting system did not. Reports were static and business users relied on IT to pull data, write reports and create ad hoc queries. Enterprise data didn't reside in a data warehouse and there was no prescribed way to bring together JDE and non-JDE data. BI and visualization tools were lacking. The small, new IT team wanted to free up resources to spend time on strategic projects rather than writing reports. Key functions include Job Cost, Payroll, Vendor Management, Accounting, Business Diversity, & more. This presentation will describe how the new core reporting system was implemented in two weeks - versus the two years that similar projects had taken in the past and discuss the benefits achieved.
